The Greater Wheeling Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) will hold its Wednesday, December 14, 2016 meeting at the White Palace in Wheeling Park, Wheeling WV. The White Palace is located inside Wheeling Park at 1801 National Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003 (map via bing).
Gerald Biser is Center Director for the WV Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and serves as Associate Director for Industrial Extension, both located in Mining and Industrial Extension Services at the WVU Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources.
Mr. Biser has experience in the areas of process improvement and flow analysis, manufacturing management, facility layout and planning, energy conservation and management, maintenance systems, and lean manufacturing concepts.
He has consulted with companies in West Virginia across all industrial segments, and his work history includes 11 years in the pulp and paper industry, and 13 years with Canon USA, in the Newport News Virginia operations. He has held management positions in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering. Since February of 2001 he has been working with the WVMEP as a manufacturing consultant.
Mr. Biser has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
We will meet at the White Palace. Social time and registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. The Education Session will follow dinner with the main presentation starting at 7:00 p.m.
Cost for the evening is $18.00 for AITP members, and $23.00 for non-member guests. We will have our 50/50 drawing and door prizes for those in attendance.
