The Greater Wheeling Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 6:00 p.m.. This month we will tour the West Liberty University facility at the Highlands Campus.
James T. Clark, Chief Information Officer at West Liberty University will give a technology briefing in the lobby of the Highlands Campus beginning at 5:30 p.m. Next, he will guide us on a walk-through which will include an overview of the data closet. Jim will then turn the floor over to Alan DePew, IT Services Technologist, for his presentation “Using the Technology for Online Education.” Alan will be demonstrating the classroom technology using WLU’s Learning Management System Sakai.
At the conclusion of the tour/presentation we will adjourn to nearby Indigo Joe’s Restaurant for our meal (ordering from the menu) and continue the meeting. We will have our 50/50 drawing and door prizes for those in attendance, including a duffel bag described below at the August AITP meeting.
